EVAN Newsletter December 2019

Welcome to the December edition of the EVAN Newsletter…

We aim to inform you about events that are coming up within the Eden Valley Artistic Network, either in the Gallery or around the Eden Valley. We also hope to give you an idea of what individual members of Eden Valley Artistic Network are doing, whether exhibitions, workshops or events.

What’s happening in December, January, February and into March…

The EVAN Christmas Fair

This year the EVAN Christmas Fair is at Rheged.  30 EVAN members have stalls and there will be musicians to entertain you.  This coincides with the start of the Great Print Exhibition.  See you there.

Focus on an EVAN Artist: Maggi Toner-Edgar

Maggi Toner-Edgar

Maggi Toner-Edgar, the daughter of a dressmaker and granddaughter of a lace maker, was always going to be involved in textiles and fashion.  She first started working with her hands and yarn when she was three years old.

Ray Ogden

Ray is a printmaker and author/illustrator based at the EVAN Gallery in Penrith.

Ray draws with a graphics tablet and digital paint software.

He mixes visual media conventions, in the layered construction of his prints.  His work is both evocative, atmospheric and stunning.  A former BBC Television Designer and Lecturer.  I am very much looking forward to interviewing Ray and you can look forward to reading the March Edition.
