Picturing Penrith art competition will take place on Saturday 31st August. Artists are invited to create an original piece of artwork in one day based in and around the picturesque market town of Penrith.

Photography exhibition open to all. Entry just £3. Pop in to Penrith Posters on Saturday 31st August to have your entry or entries printed.

At least one image from each photographer will be included in the exhibition.

Picturing Kirkby Stephen – “A great success!”

Picturing Kirkby Stephen

The first Picturing Kirkby Stephen event took place on Saturday 29th June.  Thirty artists spent the day capturing their images and impressions of the market town.  The judges Alan Stones and Paul Davison were impressed with the entries and had the hard task of selecting the winners.

Next Focus on an EVAN artist: Maggi Toner-Edgar

In the December edition of the EVAN newsletter there will be an interview with Maggi Toner-Edgar: ‘Haute Couture’ designer who ran her own design company in the 80s, lectured Degree and MA courses and now runs drawing, design, fashion/textile design, journalling and coaching courses, will be talking to me in the December Edition. There will also be a report on the Penrith Arts Festival.
